How engineers buy now

Your next customer has already inspected you. You just weren't in the room.

62%

of the technical buying process happens online, before a buyer ever talks to sales.

GlobalSpec and TREW Marketing, 2026 State of Marketing to Engineers
73%

of industrial buyers pay close attention to a supplier's website when they evaluate them.

of technical buyers now use generative AI tools during the purchasing process.

The takeaway

Referrals and trade shows still start the conversation. Your website, your search results and what AI tools say about you decide whether it continues.

Incoming inspection

Would your website pass a buyer's first look?

Engineers and sourcing managers inspect a supplier's site the way they inspect a first article: against a spec. These are the eight checks we build every manufacturing site to pass.

Manufacturing work

Built for companies that make the parts nobody sees.

Precision machining, a 50-year manufacturing sales partner and a maker of remote viewing devices. Different buyers, same job: look as capable online as they are on the floor.

How we work

From first article to full production.

The same discipline you run on the floor. We prove the approach on a few key pages, you sign off, then we scale it across the site and your marketing.

Op 10

Shop walk

We learn your processes, machines, best customers and the work you want more of, on a call or a video walk-through of the floor.

Op 20

Spec sheet

Positioning, the buyers we're writing for (engineer, sourcing, quality) and a keyword map by process, material and industry.

Op 30

First article

We design the homepage, one capability page and the RFQ flow first. You review them before anything else gets built.

Op 40

Production run

The full Webflow build, content and video, tested on every device, launched with call and form tracking in place.

Op 50

Continuous improvement

Monthly SEO, ads and content if you want them, reported in RFQs and qualified leads, not clicks.

FAQ

Straight answers

The questions manufacturers ask us most.

Ask us anything →
01

Do you understand technical work?

We've built brands and websites for a precision manufacturer, a 50-year manufacturing sales partner with eight capabilities and a maker of remote viewing devices. We learn your processes from you and your engineers, and you approve every technical claim before it goes live.

02

Can the quote form take drawings and NDAs?

Yes. RFQ forms can take file uploads, quantities and due dates, include an NDA option and route to the right person. For very large CAD files we add a secure upload link.

03

How do you handle certifications and ITAR?

We show what you hold, with its scope, near the top of the pages that matter. We only publish what you can document, and we say ITAR registered, never ITAR certified.

04

Most of our work comes from referrals and trade shows. Why change?

Keep them. But engineers now do most of their research online before they talk to anyone, so even a referral checks your website first. A strong site turns that visit into an RFQ instead of a quiet no.

05

What does a manufacturing website cost?

Webflow sites start from $5,000 for up to 5 pages and from $9,500 for up to 12. Manufacturers with several capabilities usually need the larger site or a custom build. You get a fixed proposal after a free discovery call.

06

Do I own everything?

Yes. Your website, content, ad accounts and analytics stay in your name. If we part ways, you keep it all.

07

Who actually does the work?

Our core team, every time. No hidden subcontractors. You sign with NorthNeedle LLC, our US company, and every invoice is in US dollars.
